Buckby Library & Hub is delighted that Long Buckby’s community choir, Elation Community Voices, has agreed to support the library as its charity for 2020.
ECV holds two fundraising concerts in the village each year as well as other events such as quizzes. Thank you ECV!
We’re part of easyfundraising! It’s a great site where you can raise money for free when you shop online.
All you have to do is create an account and choose to support Buckby Library & Hub. Then 4,000 shops and sites (including all the BIG names like eBay, John Lewis and Partners, ASOS, Expedia, M&S, Just Eat and many more) will donate to us for free every time you use #easyfundraising to shop with them.
Long Buckby resident, Julie Ball, has successfully raised £1,000 for Buckby Library & Hub by running a half-marathon in Wolverhampton where she was born.
Thanks to all the marvellously generous donations you have given in response to our appeals, including online and in the Bugle, the Buckby Library & Hub community group now has sufficient funds in the bank – or committed – for us to take over the funding and management of Long Buckby Library in the New Year (legal agreements permitting).
A huge Thank You to Alison and Ian from the Old Kings Head, and to everyone who attended the amazing Pumpkin Festival on 6th October and helped raise £1,824 for Buckby Library and Hub.
Congratulations to Julie Ball who successfully completed the Wolverhampton half-marathon, on 1st September, in 3 hours 15mins.
We had a stall at the Co-op Fun Day on 7th July 2019 with Name the Bear, Raffle and Book Sales. We raised £66!
