Buckby Library & Hub holds social afternoons on Wednesdays between 2.00 and 4.00 pm but do come at any time in this window, no need to let us know in advance. We do ask participants to make a modest contribution.
As well as meeting and chatting to other people, participants can enjoy numerous games and jigsaws and take advantage of the other library …
facilities, browse newspapers, magazines and buy refreshments – coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits and cake. This is a wonderful way to re-engage with folks post Covid lockdowns or if you just feel you would like to spend a few hours with new friends. As the building is not open to the public on Wednesday afternoons please come to the back gate, which is adjacent to the car park, and in through the back door.Everyone welcome!
NB while the library has toilet facilities, the toilet cannot at present take wheelchairs (except the folding variety). It is possible to access the facilities with a Zimmer frame or other walker, and we hope to make the toilet fully wheelchair accessible in the future. If necessary, there are fully accessible public toilets just across the road from the library.
