Drop in to speak to Simon from Admiral Nurses. Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one.
Admiral Nurses work with the NHS and provide tailored support for example:
- If communication gets hard, they are on hand with skills and techniques to help family and friends stay connected to their loved one
- If someone with dementia is showing changes in behaviour, they will find the best ways of preventing or managing this
- If advice is needed on financial benefits that are available, they can talk this through
- If families are struggling to cope, they will be there to help them get the best possible care and support Admiral Nurses support families on our free national Helpline, in face-to-face and virtual clinic appointments, and in the community, in GP practices, hospitals and care homes.
