Wicked Little Letters ~ Tuesday 24th September
A 1920s English seaside town bears witness to a dark, absurd scandal based on a stranger-than-fiction true story. When Edith and fellow residents start to receive wicked letters full of unintentionally hilarious profanities, foul-mouthed Rose is charged with the crime. The anonymous letters prompt a national uproar, and a trial ensues.

If you missed this fascinating talk by local naturalist Nick Roberts back in June why not come along to see the film of the talk, followed by a discussion with Nick. Thursday 12th September from 2.30pm to 4pm. Free to attend, donations welcome, refreshments available. Please book in advance.
WNC Drop-In Sessions
These are currently on hold.
We will continue to host West Northants Council drop-in sessions this year. West Northants Council advisers will come in every two months on a Tuesday morning at 10.30am, for members of the public to ask anything or raise any issues. When they resume they will cover anything you would ordinarily ring the council for including highways, transport, school admissions, council tax, etc. See below. The advisors will deal with most things there and then or advise of next steps for people if they cannot help.

Thomas Hardy Evening with the Cut-A-Caper Band – Wednesday 24th July 2024
Come along to a hugely entertaining talk on Thomas Hardy, who played the violin in the folk tradition, composed poems, and of course wrote novels. The talk is punctuated by tunes collected and played by Hardy and by poems written by him. Tickets are £7 and available from the Library & The Peephole.
