Faye Spencer is an artist, teacher and storyteller living in Rugby.
Her work draws on folk traditions, carnivalesque imagery and ecological movements.
Long Buckby-on-Sea imagines an alternate version of Long Buckby, where she made her home for a year. During that time, she worked no less than seven different jobs, juggling many of these at the same time, awkwardly bestriding class divisions. The images stem from a need to find community and rootedness amid uncertainty and instability, both on a personal and global scale.’
