About our wonderful outdoor courtyard?
Back in 2019 we raised a big amount of funding to update and develop our courtyard space, the market square space and improve the green areas around the car park. Follow our story on the Recovery Gardens tab on our website.
So we have seating outside and a wonderfully sheltered gazebo for anyone who would like to sit outside in a wonderfully sheltered spot which is also used by many of our groups – do check those out!
NB. We have curtains, not shown, that alleviate the direct sun.
As with all libraries across the country we offer a cool space to sit or meet with friends. Plus free water, free newspapers and publications, book borrowing or a book for just 50p and of course cheaper coffee/tea and wonderful locally made cake or indeed an ice cream. Even if we do say so ourselves this is a wee bit magical!
