The Great Escaper ~ 30th January
Our first film of 2024 is based on a true story! In 2014 pensioner Bernard Jordan absconded from his care home in Hove to attend an event in France marking the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. After the local Police were notified the care home got a call that evening to say Mr Jordan had been found safe and well in France!!
BERTIE BOTTLE~ Sat 13th January 2024
The Bertie Bottle Campaign was set up by a family in Northamptonshire in 2018, who wanted to make a positive difference to their local environment. Bertie Bottle was originally created by their daughter for a school project and has been developed into an environmental campaign, focusing on the problem with litter.

Northants Adult Learning
We are pleased that NAL are looking to hold adult learning sessions in the library, starting with An Introduction to IT and Essential Digital Skills (EDSQ). Champions
Our December film is Champions on TUESDAY 19TH DECEMBER. A former minor-league basketball coach is ordered by the court to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. He soon realises that despite his doubts, together, this team can go further than they ever imagined. Spend a winter evening in the library feeling good about the world in all it’s guises.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry – 28th November
Our next film coming up sees Harold, an ordinary man, who has passed through life, living on the side lines, until he goes to post a letter one day. A seemingly unremarkable man in his sixties, he embarks on a walk, only to keep going for 724kms until he reaches his destination, much to the despair of his wife Maureen. Doors open at 7pm.
A Man Called Otto ~ 24th October
Our October film brings the US adaptation of the wonderful book by Fredrik Backman and a remake of Sweden’s “A Man Called Ove”. Otto is a grump who’s given up on life following the loss of his wife and wants to end it all. Doors open at 7pm, film starts at 7.30pm.
Green Libraries Week
