Come along to see your very own local Long Buckby Ukulele Group perform at Buckby Library & Hub on Thursday 27th October, 7.30pm to 9pm. It’s FREE too! A bit about me…..I suppose I have always enjoyed drawing. But to give attention to a future life as a biologist or medical man it was a necessary but sad decision to drop it as a school subject. From about the age of 10 I used to sketch ….

In January we are delighted to say that we start off with Anna Langton, who you may have seen sketching around and about the village. Prince’s Trust Northampton South are looking for young people aged 16-25 who are unemployed and want to improve their skills, gain qualifications and take opportunities to progress into employment or education.
It’s free and will not affect your Jobseeker’s Allowance or universal credit. You will be reimbursed for bus fares during the first week and then be given a weekly bus pass. It’s ideal for those whose lack of confidence or qualifications are holding them back.
Buckby Library & Hub is delighted that Long Buckby’s community choir, Elation Community Voices, has agreed to support the library as its charity for 2020.
ECV holds two fundraising concerts in the village each year as well as other events such as quizzes. Thank you ECV!
