This month we welcome the work of Sue Bird, with her exhibition entitled Glimpses of My Life, do come along and why not stop for coffee and cake during your visit.
Sue was brought up during her teenage years in Long Buckby, and has enduring memories of sport and youth activities in village life, as well as attending Guilsborough County School. She subsequently moved away from the village and has spent many years in Brussels, Belgium.
Since retiring from full-time employment, one of Sue’s many retirement projects has been to return to the drawing which she found she was quite good at a child. Sue regularly comes back to Long Buckby to look after her father, a centenarian resident of the village for 54 years.
This exhibition portrays a number of very different aspects of Sue’s life and interests.
